SAFe® Agile Software Engineering Certification (ASE)

Participation in the SAFe® Agile Software Engineering Training is possible regardless of experience level. However, the following prior knowledge is recommended:

• Completed SAFe® for Teams course or basic understanding of it
• Professional expertise in development, software engineering, quality assurance, or development management

• Building systems with design quality (13%)
• Creating a shared understanding with behavioral development (13%)

• Linking principles and practices with an integrated quality (10%)
• Implementation with quality (10%)
• The application of an intentional architecture (8%)

Candidates can take the second exam attempt (first retake) immediately after the first attempt. There is a 10-day waiting period for the third attempt and a 30-day waiting period for the fourth attempt. The certification program policy includes the candidate agreement. All participants taking a Scaled Agile, Inc. examination must review and accept the candidate agreement through the pop-up dialog before starting the exam.

The candidate agreement contains conditions that govern participation in the Scaled Agile Professional certification program, as well as participation in all SAFe certification exams. The agreement establishes consistent and fair testing policies and optimizes program standards for all SAFe certified professionals.

It is recommended that individuals read the certification program policy and candidate agreement carefully before taking the exam.

ASE is primarily aimed at software developers and engineers as well as Agile teams looking for better ways to improve their software development processes. It can be used in various industries and companies, regardless of the size and complexity of the project. ASE practices are suitable for both small, distributed teams and large, complex projects worked on by multiple teams.

Completion of the course enables you to take the SAFe® certification exam. You have access to extensive study material via your SAFe® account.

It is a multiple-choice certification with 60 questions. Participants have 120 minutes to answer. Forty-two questions must be answered to pass the exam. This corresponds to a rate of 70%, which must be at least achieved.
